A Rainbow At A Bend

This poem is inspired by a picture I saw on the internet which unfortunately I can't share because I don't have the permission (but if you google it, you may find it).

There is a rainbow at a bend
This rainbow I see both ends
Curving above a leaf bare tree
I stare at one of nature's beauty for free

There is a rainbow at a bend
This rainbow I see both ends
Neither has the promised pot of gold
Yes I checked, it was plain and bold

There is a rainbow at a bend
This rainbow I see both ends
It reminds me of how love is
No, how human love is

There is a rainbow at a bend
This rainbow I see both ends
Like human love it has an end
Like human love it curves and bends

There is a rainbow at a bend
This rainbow I see both ends
It is beautiful to start with
But when it fades there's nothing

There is a rainbow at a bend
This rainbow I see both ends
It only leaves fine memories
That you can only touch and not feel

There is a rainbow at a bend
This rainbow I see both ends
The bad times lie where the rainbow ends
You find the ground, and you can feel it

There is a rainbow at a bend
What a beautiful rainbow with two ends
Like human love it's the sun kissing the rain
Just like smiles and tears in fun and pain
